The Southern Utah athletes definitely shown that they are amongst the best players in the state of Utah. Before we get into the top players, we want to first thank all of the coaches who helped make this a special event. We especially want to thank Coach Wayne Alofipo from Dixie HS, who worked extremely hard to get this event going. Coach Alofipo is one of the top up and coming coaches in the state of Utah. Don’t be surprised when he’s working on the collegiate level soon.
Top Performers & Rising Stars
ATH: Dallin Brown, Pine View HS, 2019 – The Pine View QB wanted to show his skills at WR & DB, so he did not take one single rep at QB. The outcome was an MVP performance from Brown, as he dominated the camp on both sides of the ball. Brown is a D1 caliber player
ATH: Nate Mahi, Dixie HS, 2019 – Mahi is another player that dominated on both sides of the ball. Mahi could have easily one the overall MVP as well. The talented athlete can play multiple positions on the D1 level, with his speed and athleticism.
LB: Jake Staheli, Dixie HS, 2019 – The Dixie HS LB showed a combination of closing speed and great coverage skills. He was physical all day and gave the offense headaches, in both run and pass drills. Staheli is as good as any linebacker in the state of Utah. He’s a D1 caliber player.
LB/RB: Drake Fakahua, Cedar HS, 2019 – The Cedar LB done a great job competing on both sides of the ball. Fakahua showed great agility and ball skills, as he excelled in the one on one drills. Fakahua is another player who was identified as a D1 caliber athlete.
Jaxon Garret, Cedar HS, 2020 – Garret made the most plays out of the QB’s, while earning his spot to Rising Stars.
Macloud Crowton, Dixie HS, 2021 – The young QB showed his potential on many plays. We like what Crowton brings to the table.
RB Preston Moore, RB, Dixie HS, 2020 – The young running back showed some great skill at the RB position. He was very fluid and natural. We’re looking forward to watching Moore at Rising Stars, as well as the upcoming season.
RB – Tosh Wright, RB, Pine View HS – The big back showed his speed and agility, while competing in the run and pass game. Wright looked really good in the open field.
Josh Cazier, Dixie HS, 2019 – Cazier made some great plays at the WR position, and earned his way to Rising Stars.
Izaiah Moten, Pine View HS, 2020 – Another interesting prospect who is considered to be one of the top 2020 receivers in the state.
Ray Cardova, Hurricane HS, 2020 – An interesting prospect who had a solid day, and earned his way to Rising Stars.
Ryan Warner, Desert Hills, 2019 – Warner graded out as the top OL at the camp. He was technically sound and aggressive at the point of attack. He dominated the 1 on 1 drills, and earned a D1 Rating.
Leota Sewell, Deseret Hills, 2019 – Sewell had a solid day on offense, and earned a spot to Rising Stars. Sewell impressed the coaching staff with his hard work ethic, and his ability to pay attention to detail.
Zekiel Polu, Desert Hills, 2021 – The freshman showed great potential and earned a spot to Rising Stars. Polu competed with the big boys, and showed that he will be a name to remember in the upcoming years.
Ezra Lata, Cedar HS, 2019 – Lata impressed the staff with his explosiveness off the ball. Lata is a D1 caliber player. We really like what he brings to the table.
Mason Creager, Desert Hills HS, 2019 – Creager is one of the top talents in the state. He has earned his way to Rising Stars.
LB Jaxon Reyos, Dixie HS, 2019 – Reyos solid performance landed him a spot at Rising Stars. The LB showed great agility for his size. He covers the field very well.
Nolan Mahi, Dixie HS, 2019 – Mahi had a solid outing and earned his way to Rising Stars. We’re looking forward to watching him play at Rising Stars.
Tyson Miller, Dixie HS, 2019 – Miller had a great day, especially in 7 on 7s and 1 on 1s. He’s as good as any DB we’ve evaluated. We’re looking forward to watching this special player play.
Marshun Swinney, Snow Canyon HS, 2019 – Swinney is tall, long, and athletic. He hasn’t even scratched his potential yet. Expect to hear big things from him.
Jacob Armijo, Dixie HS, 2019 – Armijo had a solid outing, earning his way to Rising Stars. We liked how he competed and believe that he’s a very talented player.
