We held multiple events across the state of Utah, over the Spring and Summer. Here are the top D1 caliber players from those events:
Top D1 Caliber – Defensive Players (11 Starters)
DE – Logan Fano (2021) Timpview HS (6’3″ 205lbs) – Fano is one of the top football players in the state of Utah. When we evaluated him at the Central Utah D1 Showcase, he was literally still a freshman in high school. During that time, we thought that he could possibly be one of the top d-lineman in the state of Utah, right now. Fano will have ever school in the country knocking on his door in the coming years.
DT – Dylan Wistisen (2019) Syracuse HS (6’2″ 280 lbs) – Wistisen is a man, in the interior. His pad level, technique, and strength; set him apart from the others at his position. He is a pure talent on the defensive line. The Syracuse standout could very well be one of the top 2-3 d-lineman in the state of Utah. He is a legitimate D1 caliber football player.
DT – C.J. Alatini (2019) Timpview HS (6’3″ 285 lbs) – Alatini is one of the top football prospects in the state of Utah. He is a legitimate Power 5 caliber football player, and should have every school in the country knocking on his door. He can play.
DE – Aaron Bredsgard (2019) Viewmont HS – (6’4″ 235lbs) – Bredsgard has been making a strong push, to being named one of the top defensive ends in the state. He will be a three year starter, spending time as an inside linebacker. Bredsgard was named one of the MVPs at Rising Stars. He stock is starting to take off with D1 schools.
LB – Brandt Opheikens (2019) Weber HS – (6’4″ 210lbs) – Opheikens is one of the most gifted LB’s that we have come across in recent years. His height, agility, and coverage skills; make him an ideal inside linebacker, against spread offenses. Opheikens dominated the run drills at the Northern Utah D1 Showcase, with his leverage and ball hawk skills. He also went undefeated in the one on one pass drills. Opheikens is a big time D1 talent.
LB – Jake Staheli (2019) Dixie HS – (6’3″ 200lbs) – Stehli is one of the underrated defense players in the state of Utah. This young man is a special football player, and a special leader. Stehli was a one man wrecking crew in the run and pass drills at the Southern Utah D1 Showcase. We believe that he is absolutely a D1 caliber football player.
LB/ATH – Andre Toiolo (2019) East HS – (6’2″ 205lbs) – Toiolo earned one of the MVP blackshirts at Rising Stars. Former NFL coaching legend Fred Graves said the following: “Andre has the potential to be a major contributor on the D1 level. Once he gets into a solid program, he’ll continue to develop into a very talented football player. It’s something about him that’s just special.”
DB – Kaleb Lundquist (2019) Spanish Fork HS (5’11” 175lbs) – Lindquist is the top DB in the state of Utah, that we’ve been able to evaluate. We love his competitiveness and fire. He’s an ideal DB, that every program should want on their team. Our staff believes that Lundquist has a bright future on the D1 level.
DB – Mekhi Bright (2019) Kearns HS (5’11” 175lbs) – Bright is right up there as one of the top D1 prospects at the DB position. He attended the Northern & Central D1 Showcases, as well as Rising Stars, and performed at a top level at each event, while challenging the best receivers in the state. He’s a fierce competitor and a legitimate D1 talent.
DB – Kyrese Rowan (2019) Roy HS (6’0″ 180lbs) – Rowan is one of the biggest sleepers in the state. The talented athlete plays multiple positions on the field, and excels at each one. Rowan showed us his talents at the Northern Utah D1 Showcase, and earned a D1 ranking.
DB – Tyson Miller (2019) Dixie HS (5’11” 185lbs) – Miller absolutely showed out during the Southern Utah D1 Showcase and at Rising Stars. He is one of the most vicious run fillers in the state of Utah, and also one of the better cover defenders.
